Skill & Vocational Education Programme

Programme Overview

The Skill & Vocational Education Programme of the National Examination Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (NEBOSSE) is designed to equip learners with industry-relevant knowledge, practical competencies, and employability skills. The programme aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing competency-based, job-oriented, and skill-focused training aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and industry requirements.

The programme emphasizes hands-on learning, entrepreneurship, self-employment, and career readiness, enabling learners to become skilled professionals in their chosen fields.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum qualification varies according to the specific Skill/Vocational program selected.
  • Admission is open to eligible learners as per the norms prescribed by NEBOSSE.
  • There is no upper age limit unless specifically prescribed for a particular course.
  • Candidates must submit required educational certificates and supporting documents at the time of admission.

Medium of Instruction

Courses are offered in the following instruction mediums:

English Hindi

Regional languages may also be introduced as approved by NEBOSSE.

Assessment & Certs

Evaluations consist of:

  • Continuous Internal Assessment
  • Practical Skill Assessment
  • Viva-Voce (where applicable)
  • Final Theory Examination
  • Practical Examination

Successful learners shall be awarded the respective Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma by the Board.

Important Instructions

  1. Admission shall be subject to the eligibility criteria prescribed for each programme.
  2. Attendance in practical training is mandatory wherever applicable.
  3. Industrial training/internship shall form an integral part of selected programmes.
  4. Learners must successfully complete both Theory and Practical components for certification.
  5. The curriculum, duration, assessment pattern, and certification shall be governed by NEBOSSE regulations.
  6. NEBOSSE reserves the right to modify, introduce, or discontinue any Skill/Vocational Programme without prior notice.
  7. All academic and examination matters shall be governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Board.
